Palestinian People's Party Reacts to the New Israeli Aggression
The Israeli Occupation authorities have started a new aggression against our people by attacking our lands in Gaza. This attack was concentrated in Palestinian territories in Gaza causing complete destruction of our infra-structure including bridges, electricity stations in particular and works supply. The Israelis have occupied additional areas of our lands and assassinated a lot of our people, including civilians.
This new aggression is a part of an Israeli plan to overthrow the Palestinian National Authority and its legitimate institutions. The Israeli army arrested 9 of our ministers and more than 25 members of our Legislative Council parliament.
This attitude contradicts international law and all means of international legitimacy.
You are asked for solidarity with our people and their cause by demanding the immediate release of our ministers and the members of our Legitimate Council and demanding also an international supervision to secure our people.
Sincerely Yours
International Department of P.P.P

Israel Should Leave The Palestinian Land
World Federation of Trade Unions
Athens June 29th, 2006
WFTU supports Palestinian People!
Israel should leave the Palestinian land.
One more action of savagery of Israeli occupied troops has taken place in Palestine. Israelis which have not stopped, not even for a moment, murdering innocent people, women and children, invaded, Gaza yesterday [June 28--ed.].
All these happen at the same time that the Palestinian authorities make laborious efforts for discussions and mutual understanding.
Every effort of agreement and peace in the area is undermined while the imperialist powers of Israel and USA as well, try to suppress the resistence and struggle of the Palestinian people.
The Israelis act with the support of American and European Imperialists in order to serve the capital's geopolitical interests in the region. No efforts for solution of the problem are being made, no conversations for peace. Their excuses do not convince us!
The only way for peace in the region is only throuth the unconditional acceptance and respect of the decisions of the United Nations for free sovereign Palestinian country, with Jerusalim as capital and return of the refugees in their homes.
The peoples of Israel and Palestine have the same problems and the same interests. They should fight together for such a solution.
Palestinian peoples' struggle is our struggle. Our common enemy is imperialism. WFTU is actively supporting the struggle of those people who fight for their right for dignity, independence and sovereignty. WFTU will continue supporting Palestinian people, inviting all the militant trade unions, all progressive people to support their struggle, undertaking initiatives.
Only if the workers of the World unite, we will be able to win.
World Peace Council Statement on Israeli Attack on Gaza
The World Peace Council expresses its most vehement condemnation to the recent barbaric and murderous bombing and invasion of Israeli Military forces in the Gaza Strip of Palestine. By this action the Israeli state "reaffirms" its terrorist nature, while killing innocent children and families and leaving more than one million Palestinians without water and electricity.
The State of Israel is adding one more mass crime, to its records for decades now. The powerful countries, like the USA and the EU-countries, are directly or indirectly to be blamed for complicity of the new flagrant violation of the right of the Palestinians for life, since they are keeping a criminal silence towards the ongoing genocide.
The WPC demands the immediate end of the war actions against the Palestinian people and the complete withdrawal of all Israeli occupation forces from the Palestinian territories. There can be only Peace with the establishment of an independent State of Palestine with East Jerusalem as its capital, alongside Israel and in the borders of June 1967.
The WPC expresses its full-hearted solidarity with the people of Palestine, in its striving for freedom, peace and justice.

Latest Israeli Attacks on Palestine
30 June 2006 - Press Statement
The Polit Bureau of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) has issued the following statement:
The Israeli security forces have kidnapped 7 cabinet ministers and around 60 members of Parliament and senior Government officials in Palestine. Its attacks on Gaza with bombing of bridges, taking out its only power plant and other civilian targets, are nothing but inflicting collective punishment on civilian population, reminiscent of Nazi Germany and medieval barbarity. It is clear that the Israel is spinning out of control, which sees targeted assassinations, reprisals against the civilian population and aerial bombardment of its occupied territories as business as usual.
The latest Israeli attacks are supposed to be in retaliation for an attack on its outpost that has killed
two soldiers and with another one being held hostage. Its own attacks on Gaza for the past month which has killed more than 30 civilians and wounded dozens seriously, the shelling of the beach which killed a family of seven, its sending commandos to kidnap 2 Palestinians a day before the Hamas attack on its outpost, and numerous such incidents are not seen by Israel to be of any consequence.
The reason that Israel remains intransigent on Palestine, is the encouragement and protection it has received from the US and the European Union. It is obvious that the US regards Israel as vital to its neo-colonial enterprise in West Asia. The CPI(M) calls upon the Indian Government to oppose the brutal attacks of Israel on the Palestinian population and its elected representatives.
The CPI(M) also hopes that all Palestinian groups will rally together in this critical hour and forge the largest possible unity amongst the Palestinian people.
CPI(M) emphasizes that security and peace can only be achieved by putting an end to the Israeli occupation, evacuation of all Israeli settlements and establishing an independent Palestinian State. Only a negotiated peace on these lines can lead to a resolution of this problem and not the continuing spiral of violence that Israel is imposing on its occupied territories. The CPI(M) also calls upon the peace-loving, democratic and anti-imperialist Indian people who believe in justice and human dignity to come out in protest against this brutal and dastardly attack on the Palestinian people.
The Israeli military’s massive June 28 ground and air assault on the Gaza Strip, in retaliation for a raid by armed Palestinian groups in which one Israeli soldier was captured and two others killed, again highlights the urgency of a political settlement guarantee-ing an independent, viable Palestinian state.
The Israeli government had earlier closed the border crossings with Gaza, preventing entry of food, fuel and other necessities. Israeli government leaders were also said to be considering cutting off electricity and water.
In exchange for freeing 19-year-old Corporal Gilad Shalit, his captors called for the release of women and minors among the thousands of political prisoners now held in Israeli jails, a demand Israel summarily dismissed.
“We should remember that in the Gaza Strip, as in other parts of the Palestinian territories, thousands of families await the return of their loved ones from the Israeli prisons and detention camps, just as fervently as the family of the captive Corporal Gilad Shalit prays for his safe return,” the Israeli peace organization Gush Shalom said June 27. Gush Shalom pointed out that when Israel left the Gaza Strip last year, it nonetheless continued to hold all Palestinian prisoners from the area — a decision the peace organization called “a severe mistake.”
The latest military actions come in the context of repeated Israeli air attacks on the Gaza Strip that have killed innocent civilians. Most notorious was the mid-June slaughter of nine innocent civilians. Another air raid last week killed three children.
The actions also come amid reports that leaders of Palestinian political groups have reached agreement based on the so-called Prisoners’ Document, which could lead to a united approach to negotiations with Israel for establishment of a Palestinian state in the West Bank and Gaza.
If it is truly interested in lasting peace and stability in the Middle East, Washington could use the leverage of its vast aid to bring Israel to the bargaining table to work out a two-state solution according to United Nations resolutions passed over many years.
