United Nations, Oct 30 (Prensa Latina) Cuba's victory against the US blockade has a special value because of the moment in which it has been achieved, Cuban Foreign Minister Felipe Perez Roque said on Tuesday.
The voting at the UN General Assembly occurred just a few days after President George W. Bush called on international community to back his policy of blockade against Cuba, Perez Roque added in exclusive remarks to Prensa Latina.
Upon leaving the plenary of the Assembly, he noted that today the international community, in an open, free way, explicitly rejected Bush's call.

The international community categorically backed the struggle of the Cuban people for respect for their sovereignty and free determination.
He described the voting as a historic record and a splendid victory, with 184 countries in favour of the resolution.
It has been an exciting victory, conquered by our people's exemplary resistance and an increasing admiration for t heir struggle worldwide, he commented.
He declared himself proud of being Cuban and being a contemporary of Fidel Castro, who is the main architect of this victory.
The resolution Need to put an end to the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States against Cuba was approved today by 16th consecutive year with 184 votes in favour, four against and one abstention.
