Thanks for the information on school curriculum and class subjects and the three groups - planners, marketers, and agrarians.
However I do not see this as evidence of bona-fide market socialism. The key to market socialism is the amount of direct knowledge and control workers have in their production and in its distribution (and in income arising).
From the following reports it appears to me that Chinese workers do not have sufficient knowledge and control of their products. Here are two relevant reports – for information.

The examples and anecdotes are not important in themselves, but are symptomatic of underlying trends that worry me. This is not to say that these circumstances will persist for ever, but it is not clear that changes will improve things.
