You'd almost need to name it something other than Communism unfortunately. I was raised when we were neck deep in the Cold War, (late 70's-early 80's), and I still have an anti-communist tint to my thoughts. Our schools burned it into our minds and it was really fun at the time to hate commies and we rallied around it.
Even our school books were leaned to the right then, for example - it wasn't until I was in college before I knew Russia was even in WWII ! Sounds fantastic, I know, but our history classes heavily downplayed and even ignored their involvement.
Plus - we won the Cold War. Communism was evil and it got what it deserved. This is what we are taught to think. We get shown the bread lines and worn out working class of Russia with a few pics of Stalin, right alongside the big smiles they get when they see their first McDonalds.
Communism - such as it is in my generations mind, has no chance here.
