  • I spent two months in the south pacific and a week in Hawaii, looking through bookstores and museums for anything about the labor role but I saw barely a shred; one lone reference to the ILWU in a one room museum in Lahaina. Thank you for bringing this to light.

    I also think we need to hear more about the actual colonies of American Samoa and the Northern Mariana Islands (Guam, Saipan) which seem to be largely unknown to most mainlanders.
