    In New York, about 40yrs ago the present writer met a Jewish gentleman who told of his young son, 19 or 20, a math major, who fought in WWII, and perished in the war.
    My mentor, about 90 yrs old at the time(hating that I have long since forgot his and son's name)told that after his young son's example, he was bound to follow it(ergo, he was at the meeting of the young Communists, called at that time the Young Worker's Liberation League).
    The great Jewish(U. S. and Soviet war Vets) people fought, heroically, coming from both sides of the Atlantic.
